Blackmagic UltraStudio Express Monitor 3G - $239 - coming in mid-August
(BDLKULSDMBEXMON3G) The latest version of the hugely popular Blackmagic UltraStudio Monitor line, this time featuring USB4. Let’s you spit out a proper 10 bit 3G video signal from your video timeline (Resolve, Avid, Premiere, Final Cut, etc). to a television or broadcast monitor. The unit has one SDI 3G port and one HDMI 2.0 port for output. No AC Adapter is required as it takes power from the USB4 bus. SDI can output signals up to 2K DCI; the HDMI port can output up to 1080p60. NOTE – this box requires a native USB4 or ThunderBolt 4 or 5 port on your computer or it won’t work. Check your computer specs to make sure you have that. NOTE II – does not come with a USB4 or TBolt 4 cable. That is additional. Software drivers are required for the box to function. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS – Mac 15 Sequoia, Mac 26 Tahoe or later. Windows 10 64 bit, Windows 11, or Linux. Warranty – 1 Year Canadian warranty.

Let’s you capture a video signal either from a camera or a switcher into your computer. Very popular for livestreaming applications, such as Wirecast, vMix or OBS. This unit has one SDI 3G port and one HDMI 2.0 port for capture, with support up to 10 bit 4:4:4. Even though there are 2 ports, you cannot capture 2 signals at the same time – only one. NOTE – this box requires a native USB4 or ThunderBolt 4 or 5 port on your computer or it won’t work. Check your computer specs to make sure you have that.
